From the Desk of Patrick McKernan

Dear USD 429 Parents and Guardians:

It is comforting to realize we are in the final stretch of what has been, at times, a very challenging school year.  Saying that, we still have a month of school left.  A month left of activities, a month left of fun, and yes, a month left of teaching and learning.  As I write this, there is a chance of snow tomorrow!?  We will see how that works out, but something we can all be proud of is the amount of teaching and learning that has taken place this school year.  We all should be proud, and appreciative, of that.

Let’s finish the year strong and on a positive note.  As I mentioned we still have a lot to get done and a lot left to accomplish.  We do not know what next year will bring, but I do know we will continue to work to improve the education we give all your children.  Like every year, there will be some new faces, some new programs, some changes, and some challenges.  We will communicate all that to you as the end of the year and the summer progresses to the next school year.  We will continue to work hard for all your children.

Thank you all again for your patience, flexibility, and understanding this school year.  We are going to make it!
