Four Trojans qualified for State Track in Wichita, KS. State track will take place May 29-30, 2026.
Please join the team and coaches and wish them good luck on Main Street at 10 AM on Thurs., May 28th with a police escort!
Ella Grable qualified in the 1600m and the 3200m. Ella will run the 3200m on 7 PM, Saturday, May 30th and the 1600m on Satruday, May 30th at 1:25 PM.
Leena Wiedmer qualified in the 300m high hurdles. Leena will run prelims on Friday, May 29 at 4:20 PM and finals will be Sat., May 30 at 4:30 PM.
Henry Geiger qualified in the javelin. Henry will throw on on Friday, May 29 at 4:30 PM.
Lane Hartman in the the high jump. Lane will jump at state on Friday, May 29 at 1:45 PM.

*Wichita State is now using CEIA Open Gate metal detectors for High School State Track, all items must be checked and cleared through security before entry. To expedite your entry time, please bring as few items as needed in a clear bag and/or avoid bringing prohibited items. Conceal-carry for those events would be prohibited.
*Open gate detectors are designed to have persons walk through them with everything in their pockets and their clear bags or clutch (not exceeding 5.5” x 7.5”).
*All bags/coolers/belongings will be checked and must be cleared upon entry. Please arrive 5-10 minutes earlier than usual, to account for the security screening process.
Permitted/Prohibited Items:
*Wichita State athletics strongly encourages fans to not bring any type of bag to events at all WSU athletic facilities.
*For Track & Field events, bags of reasonable size will be permitted.
*Coolers and wagons will not be permitted by spectators.
*All bags are subject to search upon entry and must clear security screening.

*Outside food and drink (From anywhere outside of event fencing)
*Containers from any food competitor brand (Empty Insulated Cups are the only cups permitted)
*Drugs and alcohol
*Coolers and Large bags (Duffle Bags, Backpacks, Suitcases, etc.)

*Noisemakers – air horns, bells, megaphones, whistles, etc.
*Any camera larger than 4" in length and width (including the lense).
*Flash/professional photography, tripods, monopods and cameras with detachable or interchangeable lenses.
*Live animals (except service animals)
*Wagons and Lawn Chairs (Lawn Chairs permitted on West Side throwing field only, not on East Side)
*Wichita State reserves the right to prohibit any other items deemed inappropriate by security.
*If an item is revealed during a search, patron may dispose of the item or return it to their vehicle. Wichita State staff reserves the right to prohibit any items they deem inappropriate.

*The parking lot surrounding Koch Arena will be reserved for ADA parking as well as $10 paid parking. Accessible parking for fans with disabilities is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis in the southwest portion of the lot of Koch Arena. Guests must display a state-issued accessible license plate or hang tag. Guests will also need to present a state-issued disabled ID card.
