Multi-Purpose Room Completed
Troy Schools has finished their new multi-purpose room for the current students and future students of the district. This space is the former industrial arts room. Even though the board of education and administration were disappointed to see the industrial arts program go away, we are all excited about the opportunities and possibilities that exist in, and with this new facility. During the spring seasons the baseball and softball teams will be able to use part of this space for hitting and fielding practice. Currently Mr. Dominguez uses the room after school with students for weights and conditioning. Most students enrolled in a PE/Weightlifting class have begun using the room for their benefit also. A few new pieces of exercise equipment were added such as the treadmill and exercise bikes. The Booster Club has also designated funds for some new equipment when needed, which is very much appreciated.
